Club History & Honours
Glebe North FC was founded in 1945. It evolved from a factory team called Smyco (Smyth & Co) founded by the late Jack Kennedy, whose involvement with the AUL was instrumental in the establishment of the club. An annual U16 tournament was established in his memory in 2012, with St Kevin’s Boys winning the inaugural trophy.
Glebe joined the AUL in 1945 and spent 18 years there, winning Division 3 and The Leinster Junior Shield before joining the Leinster Senior League in 1963, where they still play today.
The club have won the Senior Division twice; in the 1966-67 season and again in 1985-86 in a play-off with Bluebell and Pegasus. Along the way Glebe have also won Division 1, Division 1A, 2 Cahill Cups, a Metro Cup and the Polikoff Cup.
